Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, Rachel Zegler as our beloved princess, and the return of the seven dwarfs – it’s like stepping into an enchanted forest straight out of my favorite games!
The idea that Gal Gadot’s portrayal of the Evil Queen will be the most beautiful is now questionable, as Rachel Zegler, cast as the main character in Disney’s new adaptation of Snow White, appears determined to reclaim her kingdom in the recently released trailer for the remake.
Escaping into the forest, Snow White (portrayed by Zegler), who is pursued by her stepmother (Gadot), encounters her cherished companions — Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy and Sneezy. Rather than seeking refuge from them, she requests their assistance instead, the Disney Princess.
The West Side Story actor, playing the role of a queen, confides in her woodland companions that she believes everything has been taken from us all. She implores for our assistance, stating it’s now crucial to reclaim our realm,” he shares from within their peaceful abode.
The teaser provides a glimpse of Zegler’s moving song “Waiting on a Wish“, while Snow White encounters the wicked queen in disguise as an elderly woman, presenting the deadly apple she eventually consumes.
One of Disney’s most anticipated productions for 2025 is “Snow White,” which forms a cornerstone in their spring lineup. This live-action musical, co-produced by Marc Platt and Jared LeBoff, and helmed by director Marc Webb, is a modern retelling of Disney’s original 1937 film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” The new adaptation features fresh tunes penned by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who are known for their work on the hit musical The Greatest Showman.
Originally scheduled for release in March 2024, the movie has been delayed by Disney due to the SAG-AFTRA strike that occurred last year.
Disney’s Snow White also stars Ansu Kabia as the Huntsman and Martin Klebba as Grumpy.
