During the day of the anticipated debate between Vance and Tim Walz, digital advertisements were activated, advocating for Kamala Harris’ running mate and criticizing Trump’s vice presidential selection as the face of Project 2025, a contentious collection of conservative policy proposals often referred to as the 2025 Presidential Transition Project.
The advertisements contain a QR code directing people to Trump’sProject2025.com, where they can discover details about “the harmful, liberty-restricting agenda that could drastically alter their existence,” as stated in the Democratic National Committee statement.
Rosemary Boeglin, DNC Communications Director, stated that as Americans watch the VP debate, they’ll notice a stark contrast – Coach Walz versus JD Vance, who is associated with Project 2025. JD Vance stands out as one of the least popular vice presidential candidates in recent American history not only because he’s considered strange but also because he advocates for banning abortion nationwide, favors a skewed economy that benefits the wealthy, and prioritizes Trump over democracy.
Adding, “The contrast in this election couldn’t be clearer: Governor Walz will stand side-by-side with Vice President Harris as they turn the page on Trump and Vance’s dark, Project 2025 plan for America and instead, chart a New Way Forward for all Americans.”
