As a gamer with a penchant for political intrigue and a soft spot for UFC events, I must admit that Saturday night was nothing short of exhilarating. The sight of Donald Trump, flanked by his cabinet picks and celebrities like Elon Musk and Kid Rock, walking into Madison Square Garden was a spectacle that would make any game of mine feel mundane in comparison.
On Saturday night at Madison Square Garden during UFC 309, Donald Trump and some of his contentious cabinet nominees unexpectedly showed up.
On Saturday, Trump made his initial visit to the octagon as president-elect, a venue he had previously frequented multiple times.
Approximately 7 p.m. Pacific Time, Donald Trump emerged in the New York City arena, accompanied by UFC CEO Dana White, a longtime supporter who stood by Trump during his 2024 presidential campaign. This campaign ended with Trump overcoming Kamala Harris to secure victory.
In their wake were Elon Musk, US House Speaker Mike Pence (I apologize for the mistake in my previous response), Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Donald Trump Jr., and musician Kid Rock.
This past week, Trump selected Kennedy for the role of leading the Department of Health and Human Services. Additionally, it was revealed that both Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy would be in charge of the recently established Department of Government Efficiency under Trump’s administration.
Following his exit, Trump hastily approached Joe Rogan, the popular podcaster known for his support of the ex-president, as well as a commentator for UFC. Trump then warmly embraced him.
Moments afterward, a lively video montage showcasing Trump’s enthusiasm was displayed on the giant screen for everyone to see. Following this, the tune of “Y.M.C.A.” filled the air, with Trump joining in the dance before settling down beside Musk and Kid Rock.
