Dr. Seuss’ ‘Oh, the Places You’ll Go!’ Lands 2028 Release From Director Jon M. Chu and Warner Bros.

The last book by Dr. Seuss is being transformed into a movie by Jon M. Chu, with Warner Bros. Pictures Animation.

It was revealed on Monday that the animated musical film “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” will hit IMAX cinemas on March 17, 2028. This movie, directed by Chu and Jill Culton, follows a daring youth as they journey through life’s highs and lows.

In this version, the focus is shifted slightly to emphasize that the film will be released in IMAX, and the sentence structure has been simplified for clarity and natural flow.

Rob Lieber wrote the screenplay, and award-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul are composing unique tunes for this venture. This film is inspired by the final published work of Dr. Seuss, bearing the same title, which hit shelves in 1990. The beloved children’s author passed away the following year at 87 years old.

The animated film “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” originates from Dr. Seuss Enterprises and Bad Robot Productions. This high-priority production for the studio has J.J. Abrams and Gregg Taylor serving as its producers.

Following the acclaim of Universal’s version of “Wicked“, which secured 10 Oscar nominations just recently, the sequel – the second part of this series – is set to premiere in cinemas this coming November.

More to come.
