Despite the futuristic appearance of these practical home objects, as if plucked from a digital metaverse or a dreamlike AI-inspired interior, they are undeniably crafted by human hands.
Each item in their collection, ranging from the Flare Dining Table and Sideboard to the Ribbon Pendant Lamps, is meticulously handcrafted by the original artists Draga Obradovic and Aurel K. Basedow. They work alongside craftsmen in their hometown of Lake Como, Italy. Through molding, assembly, polishing, and sculpting, they bring each piece to life using lucite, a type of acrylic resin. Over the years, Draga & Aurel have perfected an iridescent quality that gives their creations a unique, shimmering allure.
The Ribbon Lamps exhibit a beautiful curve, with the lucite material cascading over an LED light encapsulated within a see-through shell.
