Dragon Age: The Veilguard – How To Get and Use the Power Crystal To Complete Entropy’s Grasp

As a seasoned Dragon Age player with countless hours spent in the mystical world of Thedas, I must say that the Entropy’s Grasp quest was a true gem! The intricate blend of exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat kept me on the edge of my seat.

One of the primary missions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is called Entropy’s Grasp. In this quest, you focus on an antiquated Veil Bubble artifact which causes a disruption in the magical equilibrium within Arlathan Forest.

This piece provides instructions on locating the crucial Power Artifact – an ancient elf relic containing magic power – necessary to restore equilibrium in this game.

How To Get and Use the Power Crystal To Complete Entropy’s Grasp

In the “Entropy’s Grasp” mission of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you’ll team up with Bellara to stop a device that’s been wreaking havoc.

The way forward is blocked by a locked door that needs two crystals, though one is missing.

Here’s how to grab the second Power Crystal and keep moving in this quest:

First Power Crystal

Upon your initial arrival at the Broken Stairway’s locked door, you’ll spot that a Power Crystal has been inserted into a gadget next to the entrance.

Your first task is to take this crystal, which will float with you as you explore.

After obtaining it, turn your back to the entrance and gaze towards the courtyard, the same place where you recently battled the Agitated Guardian.

On the opposite side, you’ll spot a smaller, sealed door with another socket next to it.

Approach the side door and place the crystal into the socket beside it to unlock the way forward.

As I climb upward, I find myself at a precarious ledge overlooking a menacing ballista. However, it appears to be blocked by a cluster of foul-smelling Blight Boils – looks like I’ll need to clear them out before I can make use of the ballista.

These grotesque boils must be destroyed with either light or heavy attacks to clear the mechanism.

Manage the ballista and direct it towards a weak part of the wall on the other side of the courtyard. Shoot a projectile at it to break through, thus opening up a new pathway.

Yet, shattering the barrier is likely to draw a horde of adversaries, comprising Darkspawn and mechanical constructs, due to the commotion that signals their arrival.

You have two options when dealing with the threat: Fire from afar using the ballista, or engage in close combat by jumping down. In either case, ensure that every danger is eliminated completely before advancing further.

Second Power Crystal

After overpowering your adversaries, lower yourself from the edge and proceed through the gap you carved in the wall.

If you turn to your right, you’ll spot the missing Power Crystal in the corner.

Some loot may also be nearby, so collect any valuables before picking up the crystal.

Go back to the first locked door, as you now possess the second Power Crystal. Slot the second Power Crystal into any of the openings next to the door.

Next, get the initial crystal from the side door connector and insert it into the empty space to energize the main door completely.

At the culmination of this current stage in the quest, you’ll encounter a formidable Ogre. This fellow wields a massive club with ease and delivers powerful blows.

If the club emits a reddish glow, it means you won’t be able to deflect that strike. It’s best to dodge or roll to evade such attacks, as even a single blow could prove lethal.

If your powers or magic are fire-related, feel free to utilize them generously since the Ogre is particularly vulnerable to fire attacks.

Use your abilities to momentarily stun or distract the Ogre, thus creating opportunities for strong retaliation.

After overcoming the Ogre, Bellara can at last begin her task of disarming the artifact.

In this section, you’ll observe a pre-recorded scene unfold, and while your character’s responses can influence the discussion, they won’t lead to significant outcomes.

Once you’ve disabled the relic, gather any remaining treasures nearby, then have a conversation with Bellara to conclude this part of the quest.
