Having grown up with the original series, I can’t wait to step into the shoes of Psaro and become the ultimate Monster Wrangler in this latest iteration.
At long last, the moment has arrived! Square Enix has officially unveiled that their newest game, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, will be available across Android, iOS, and PC devices. Initially released on the Nintendo Switch, this RPG is now making its way to other platforms after a spell of exclusivity.
Furthermore, these versions include all downloadable content as well, alongside the main storyline found within the Digital Deluxe Edition. Now it’s your time to wield the power of evil.
In the realm of Nadiria, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince unfolds, centering around Psaro, the cursed Demon Prince. Due to his curse, he can’t hurt any creatures. Consequently, he sets off on a journey to master the art of being a Monster Tamer, a unique role that allows one to work with and battle alongside monsters. Throughout your adventure, you’ll pursue vengeance, discover new creatures, and engage in thrilling battles.
In this RPG game, it’s expected to encounter numerous unique monsters throughout your adventure. You’ll unlock more than 500 diverse creatures as you progress, some of which are familiar from the series, others are dark lords, and yet others are entirely new creatures. The time of year significantly impacts the monsters in Dragon Quest, with different ones appearing in Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Additionally, a cool feature allows you to create your own monsters!
In addition to the main traits, you’ll have access to all downloadable content extras too! This includes Coach Joe’s Dungeon Gym filled with randomly generated content, and Treasure Trunks that can be opened every hour to collect attractive prizes. Lastly, you’re welcome to participate in the unique Mole Hole dungeon, where you can search for monsters you’ve previously made friends with.
