But now, Stray Fawn Studio is turning my past frustrations into a thrilling adventure with their upcoming release, Dungeon Clawler!
On November 21st, the mobile and Steam versions of the game “Dungeon Clawer” by Stray Fawn Studio will be released in early access. This roguelike card-building game lets you grab weapons from a claw machine as you progress. As you venture deeper into a perilous dungeon, you’ll gather weapons and create your own deck.
The team behind this claw machine deck-builder got motivated to design it following a group excursion to Japan, where they ended up spending quite a bit of money on those crane games. What started as a pet project for one of Stray Fawn’s co-founders quickly turned into something that captured the interest of the entire team, as they became deeply involved in crafting this roguelike deck-building game.
In this enchanting game, I find myself transformed into a charming fluffy rabbit whose paw was cruelly snatched by the malevolent dungeon master. Equipped with a makeshift claw as a replacement, I embark on an arduous journey through the treacherous labyrinth, with one clear objective: to penetrate the lair of the dungeon lord and retrieve my paw. Stray Fawn Studio hints that along the way, I’ll encounter a cast of peculiar characters, each possessing unique abilities and vulnerabilities. Some of these fascinating beings might even lend me a helping hand on my quest to reclaim what was taken from me.
Prepare for combat against a multitude of foes lurking within dungeons, equipped with weapons you win from vending machines during exploration. Along the way, uncover numerous intriguing items and bonuses that can enhance your abilities deck. These bonuses can combine to create potent effects that may shift the course of battles. Utilize strong combos wisely, and expand your collection in the vending machine for more formidable character builds.
In your journey deep into the labyrinth, you’ll amass gold tokens. Use these tokens to play on Pachinko devices scattered throughout the maze. The varying degrees of challenge should keep both seasoned deck-builders and beginners engaged and entertained.
