Dylan Efron Would Be Down To Join Fourth Wing, But There’s One Character He Won’t Play

During the early part of the year, the book “Onyx Storm” (the third installment in Rebecca Yarros’ Empyrean series) and “The Traitors” have been heavily influential. Now, as the first season of “Fourth Wing” unfolds, Dylan Efron – winner of Season 3 of “The Traitors” – has expressed interest in joining the show, provided he meets a condition that shows his affection for the books.

When asked about potentially participating in the film adaptation of “Fourth Wing”, Efron responded with a resounding yes, saying something along the lines of “Absolutely, I’m game for it!” However, he has expressed a preference or requirement to the media outlet.

Pretty much anyone but Dain. So any of the characters but him!

– Be warned, minor spoilers for Fourth Wing and Iron Flame are ahead. –

Oh, Dain Aetos, what a character! He’s a close friend of the novel’s protagonist, Violet. In the initial book, he comes across as rather bothersome as he persistently urges Violet to depart from the Riders Quadrent. Towards the end of the book, he performs an act that leaves readers with a deep dislike for him.

So I can see why Efron wouldn’t want to play him.

Dain is quite enjoyable to depict, particularly during the later seasons due to his character’s redemption arc. Moreover, Dylan Efron bears a resemblance to my mental image of Dain. Regrettably, I must say that this reality television star might be suitable for this part. However, let me clarify that it is only speculation on my part.

He possesses a combination of the charming and adorable appearance found in Dain, along with a robust physique and chestnut hair. Although Dain’s eyes are brown in Rebecca Yarros’ novel, they can be easily altered with contact lenses to match Efron’s striking brown eyes. Additionally, he embodies a loyal character trait, which is one of his distinguishing features.

To be fair, I understand his perspective. Dain had caused much distress in our lives for quite some time. The animosity towards him was genuine (although we may have softened toward him post-Onyx Storm). That’s why Efron might not feel inclined to portray him.

Peacock TV: from $7.99 a month/$79.99 a year

If you’re keen on boarding the “Traitors” train, head over to Peacock where you can secure your spot. Subscription plans offering access to all NBC and Bravo content commence at just $7.99 per month. Take advantage of this deal now!

It’s also acceptable since he might be more suited for roles like Sawyer or Brennan. Here’s my reasoning: Dylan Efron is 33 years old, and while he could convincingly portray a character in their twenties, his age actually makes him an ideal choice to play Violet’s older brother.

While I may be jumping the gun a bit, it appears that the “Fourth Wing” series is progressing steadily. However, we’re still in the dark about its details, as neither cast members nor plot points have been revealed yet. On a different note, Dylan Efron has made his television debut with “The Traitors,” which you can access with a Peacock subscription. Unlike his brother Zac, Dylan hasn’t had a similar acting career to date.

Yet, this doesn’t rule out his ability or willingness; quite the contrary, I’m eager for him to take a stab at acting. In fact, Fourth Wing might be the perfect platform for him to do so. Given his familiarity with the world, he seems open to the idea…as far as playing Dain Aetos is concerned, let’s hope that’s not a requirement!
