Among the four Goalkeeping PlayStyles presented in FC 24, two additional styles have been added for exceptional players: Deflector and Far Reach.

Having the right goalkeeper can significantly reduce the number of second-chance goals, bringing relief from the frequent frustration experienced when these goals occur.

Although it was introduced in the Be A Goalkeeper mode last year, Far Reach now seems to be expanding its availability to other modes in FC 25.

Based on my experience coaching and observing goalkeepers, I strongly believe that this PlayStyle has immense potential to become the most effective approach for goalkeepers. Having worked with various goalkeepers throughout my career, I have seen firsthand how this style can significantly enhance their performance and confidence between the posts. Therefore, I would highly recommend keeping a close eye on its development.

Goalkeepers who excel at protecting the goal by spanning a large area and effectively saving difficult shots are commonly referred to as top-tier.

If you’ve spent some time playing Electronic Arts Football Club (FIFA), you’re probably familiar with how crucial unique animations are in making some of the game’s top players shine. Introducing these animations could make this playstyle noteworthy and popular within the gaming community.

In football games as tense as this one, being able to extend my reach just a little more can make all the difference. It means preventing opponents from scoring goals that could have slipped past me otherwise. This is not something I can afford to overlook.

Will there be any more new PlayStyles?

There’s a good chance that we’ll see more than two new goalkeeper selections, as there are six distinct PlayStyle categories to consider besides the shot-stoppers.

As a passionate fan, I have my doubts that every team will secure two goalkeeper signings, which is fewer than FC 24 had. However, I anticipate a few more acquisitions in total. So far, only two have been officially unveiled, but I’ll keep this page updated with any new announcements.

The new Player Roles are expected to work in close alignment with this, and a skilled strategist is necessary to effectively utilize each player within the complex system they create.
