Having grown up amidst the rise of technology and AI, this album feels like a sonic time capsule, capturing the energy and promise of those early days when tech was fun, not just a tool for data collection.
After bidding farewell to the energetic tunes of summer’s SnakeGang, I’m excited to share that EarthGang has unveiled their brand new LP titled Perfect Fantasy – marking a significant milestone as it’s their first independently released long-form project. This masterpiece features collaborations with Little Dragon, Pharrell, T-Pain, Cochise and none other than Snoop Dogg! Perfect Fantasy brilliantly captures the vibrancy of our tech-driven world in a harmonious blend of order and controlled chaos, offering us an auditory experience that mirrors the essence of today’s society.
Influenced by AI’s impact on modern culture, the album “PERFECT FANTASY” offers a varied playlist of 18 tracks and marks the culmination of the duo’s “EARTHGANG vs. The Algorithm” series, which started in 2023 with “RIP Human Art.” This series represents their artistic response to AI development.
As a fan, I’m excited about the upcoming album that seems to be offering a refreshing take on a Y2K-style vision of the future where technology is enjoyable once more. Unlike the current era’s impersonal and divisive “data algorithms,” this album appears to evoke a more optimistic and engaging atmosphere.
