EchoStar Loses 253,000 Pay-TV Subscribers in Fourth Quarter

In the last three months of the year, EchoStar, under Charlie Ergen’s leadership, reported a decrease of about 253,000 pay-TV subscribers, which is lower than the decline of around 314,000 subscribers during the same period the previous year.

At the close of 2024, the company reported a total of 7.78 million TV subscribers across its pay-TV services, with 5.69 million of those being Dish TV customers and an additional 2.09 million on Sling TV.

As a devoted fan, I’m sharing an update on our financial performance. In the fourth quarter of 2024, our revenue dipped slightly from $4.16 billion in the same period last year, settling at approximately $3.97 billion. However, it’s worth noting that our operating income before depreciation and amortization (OIBDA) significantly improved, moving from a loss of $370 million in 2023 to a gain of $397 million this year.
