- Very comfortable
- Great battery life
- Good sound quality
As a seasoned traveler and music enthusiast who has gone through countless pairs of headphones, I must say that the Edifier W830NB has truly stolen my heart! With its sleek design available in a variety of colors, it’s not just a functional companion but also a stylish accessory. The comfort level is unparalleled, making long-haul flights or marathon study sessions a breeze.
Edifier’s reputation for producing top-notch headsets and earbuds had me eager to test out another wallet-friendly, stylish pair of wireless over-the-ear headphones. The Edifier W830NB is a budget-friendly choice that boasts long battery life and impressive sound quality, making it an excellent travel companion!
Edifier W830NB Looks
This stylish headset comes in several hues: grey, black, white, and cream. Each model features a subtle logo positioned above the ear cups, while the rest remains unadorned. The ear cups can be rotated for easy storage within a bag, and they’re adjustable to accommodate larger heads. The padding at the top is generous, ensuring comfort, and the same goes for the ear cups themselves, making it a compact, comfortable headset overall. It’s remarkably lightweight and comfy to wear.
Buttons
On the right-hand side of the device, on the bottom of the earmuffs, there is a Bluetooth button so that you can connect to your phone, a pause button, and two volume buttons, along with the charging port. It’s a USB-C port and the Edifier W830NB comes with a small cable that’s USB-C to USB. You can use this port to wire your headphones into a device and use it that way too. The Bluetooth button is multifunctional, as you can press it to change through different noise-cancelling modes and sound modes using the button.
Battery Life
A lot of my deciding factors when it comes to headsets that are wireless is the battery life. The Edifier W830NB has an impressive 94-hour battery life with noise cancelling turned off and a 54-hour battery life if it’s on. This is a really impressive amount of battery life and feels true to the box. The device doesn’t take ages to charge either!
Edifier App
With most Edifier products, you can customize a lot of the sound you hear in their Edifier ConneX app. This device doesn’t have a ton of different customization features behind noise cancellation options and sound modes. The sound quality is quite good even without changing anything, but the app does give you a bit of control here and there.
