- Extremely comfortable to wear
- Great battery life
- Use the app to change soundscapes
In terms of headphones, you’ll find numerous choices available. Among them, Edifier stands out for its quality and is a well-recognized brand. So, my anticipation was high when I encountered the Edifier WH950NB wireless, noise-cancelling over-ear headphones. Their design, particularly in the cream color, caught my eye significantly.
Edifier WH950NB Looks
As mentioned, I really do like the look of these headphones. There is slight texturing on the outside of the earcups, resembling creme leather, which feels luxurious. They are very soft feeling on my ears, and everything is comfortable. The ear cups fold in and pivot, allowing you to wear them comfortably and store them in the included case. I like that these came with a little case that has a pocket for the charging wires, along with plenty of room to fit them in.
On the right earcup, you’ll find buttons for power, noise cancellation, and connection, along with a charging port. On the opposite, left earcup, there’s a wired port for those who prefer using the Edifier WH950NB headphones in wired mode.
Sound and Edifier Connect App
When it comes to the sound itself, you can actually connect this pair of headphones through Bluetooth to two devices at once, if that’s something you want to do. The sound itself is great, and as a safety feature, you can use the Edifier Connect app to set safe-volume mode, which feels good for a headset that is easy to wear for lengths at a time.
Inside the application, you have the option to choose various intensity levels of noise-cancellation; low, high, ambient sound reduction, and wind reduction. These settings work effectively even without playing music, serving as a tool to suppress background noise when concentration is required.
Within the app, you can also mess around with a few different audio profiles, creating different ones for gaming or playing music, if that’s your thing.
Battery
For me, having a headset with long battery life is crucial because I don’t want to keep recharging it every few hours. Fortunately, the Edifier WH950NB offers up to 34 hours of battery usage with noise cancellation enabled, and even longer when it’s turned off. To add to its appeal, it takes just an hour and a half to fully charge this headset, which means I don’t have to worry about its battery life.
