Eduardo Xol, a TV designer on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, has died. He was 58.

Xol passed away on Friday at the Desert Regional Medical Center following injuries sustained from an apparent stabbing that occurred on September 10 in Palm Springs, as stated in a report by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The authorities did not provide a reason for the reality TV star’s death; instead, they directed all inquiries to the Palm Springs Police Department. After responding initially to a reported stabbing 10 days prior, the Palm Springs Police Department was unavailable for further comments.

On September 10th at 5:41 a.m., as stated by the Sheriff’s Department, is when Xol sustained his injury. The Desert Sun newspaper reports that Richard Joseph Gonzales, aged 34, was taken into custody by Palm Springs police and charged with attempted murder following the reported stabbing incident.

His family is deeply saddened by the devastating passing of dear Eduardo Xol. He attended UCLA to study theatre, and was also a skilled keyboardist and percussionist. Additionally, he produced musical theater and comedy revues that traveled across the United States.

He hails from Los Angeles, born to parents of Mexican-American descent. Additionally, he has worked on television, music, and video productions in Latin America.
