Ellen Barkin is sticking with X, for now.
Despite the trend among other progressive actors, the acclaimed star, famous for movies such as “Sea of Love,” “The Big Easy” and Netflix’s “The Out-Laws,” has not yet moved to Bluesky, unlike some of his progressive peers.
Think Stephen King, Jon Cryer, Barbra Streisand and more.
Barkin’s political activism remains unaltered. Interestingly, Barkin recently expressed strong criticism towards the current White House press secretary, who became the youngest person to hold this position just last month.
Karoline Leavitt, at the age of 27, delivered a remarkable first appearance as the spokesperson for President Donald Trump towards the media.
Okay, it was just her first, but in her debut briefing @KarolineLeavitt gave a deeply impressive performance — comprehensive, quick with answers, knowledge of the topics, and confident throughout.
Quite the sea change from her predecessor.https://t.co/lYa5wl1wmf— Brad Slager: CNN+ Lifetime Subscriber (@MartiniShark) January 28, 2025
As a film enthusiast, I find myself at odds with Barkin’s viewpoint. In a recent post, she didn’t engage in a constructive discussion about the topic at hand, instead choosing to criticize Leavitt without a proper exchange of ideas.
As a movie buff diving into the plot, I’m exploring the impact of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) hiring practices within federal aviation. Two high-profile airline accidents served as a wake-up call, shedding light on this critical topic. Intriguingly, President Trump has expressed concerns that DEI policies could potentially have played a role in these unfortunate events, leaving room for further investigation.
Leavitt, in agreement with her superior’s stance on diversity, equity, and inclusion, made a straightforward comment about it. Contrarily, Barkin refrained from expressing her dissent openly. Instead, she opted for using strong language.
(Mature language below).
Barkin has secured her account, preventing others from sharing her content or her posts being embedded. However, her messages are still visible for viewing.
It’s hardly the first time she’s attacked GOP targets.
As a movie buff looking back, I had foreseen Donald Trump securing another term, a prediction that left many stunned. What followed was a chilling echo of history, a grim scenario reminiscent of Adolf Hitler’s atrocities against six million Jews.
President Trump has consistently stood as a stalwart supporter of Israel, standing firmly behind Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In a recent move, Trump authorized the deployment of 2,000 pound bombs to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), overturning a restriction set by his predecessor from the Democratic party.
Trump is also blessed with a daughter of Jewish descent, Ivanka Trump, and grandchildren who share the same faith. Previously married wife Marla Maples shared that Trump wholeheartedly respects and endorses their religious beliefs.
Recently, the newly elected president facilitated the liberation of both Israeli and American captives who had been imprisoned by Hamas for over a year.
