His recent announcement that he’ll be moving both SpaceX and X headquarters from California to Texas is a game-changer, not just for the companies but also for the regions involved.
Elon Musk has revealed that the headquarters of SpaceX in Hawthorne, California, and X in San Francisco will be shifting locations. SpaceX is planning to transfer its operations from Hawthorne to a new site called Starbase in Texas. On the other hand, X is intending to pack up and leave San Francisco for Austin.
As a dedicated Tesla fan, I’m excited to share that while Tesla continues to operate its engineering division in sunny California, the company made a big move in 2021 and set up its corporate headquarters in Austin, Texas. And guess what? Elon Musk, the visionary behind Tesla, now calls this Lone Star State home as well.
On Monday, California Governor Gavin Newsom approved a legislation prohibiting schools from notifying parents when teachers adopt new names or pronouns preferred by students at school. In a post on X, Musk expressed strong disapproval, labeling it the “last straw” and criticizing the law for targeting families and businesses.
In February, Musk shifted SpaceX’s headquarters from Delaware to Austin for reasons arising from a Delaware court decision. This decision reversed the $56 billion USD compensation package given to Musk as Tesla’s CEO in 2018.
