What is the Plot of The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland?

I’m thrilled to be sharing my excitement about a movie musical that draws inspiration from Carys Bexington’s popular book of the same title. This creative work ingeniously blends elements from Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” with Clement Clarke Moore’s timeless poem, “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.” The book is beautifully illustrated by Kate Hindley.

Peter Baynton, renowned director of the Academy Award and BAFTA-winning short animation, “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse“, is making his feature film debut. The screenplay, a series of rhyming couplets, was penned by Sara Daddy. Notably, the film’s music and songs are the work of Guy Chambers, collaborator of Robbie Williams, and Amy Wadge, a Grammy-winning songwriter who co-wrote “Thinking Out Loud” with Ed Sheeran.

As a die-hard cinema enthusiast, let me share with you an intriguing plotline I recently stumbled upon. On the eve of Christmas, an overdue missive finds its way to Saint Nicholas from the Heart Princess. Armed with my loyal reindeer squad, we embark on a journey to the whimsical Wonderland. Upon arrival, we are met by the bitter Queen of Hearts, a character who detests Christmas and gifts, particularly those wrapped in festive paper! The challenge lies in convincing this Scrooge-like figure about the essence of Christmas through the help of Alice, the Mad Hatter, and March Hare. Can I, Saint Nicholas, save the day and spread the true spirit of Christmas before it’s too late?

The film will be released by both Universal Pictures Content Group and Lupus Films, and it’s scheduled to premiere on Prime Video and Hulu in the U.S. on November 15, as well as on Sky Cinema in the U.K. on December 13. In the UK, Sky Original Film will distribute the movie, while Universal handles distribution in the U.S.
