Eminem Fans Are Just Now Realizing He Took Some Jabs At P. Diddy's Alleged Proclivities Months Before His Arrest News Broke

As a long-time fan of hip hop and someone who has closely followed the careers of many influential artists, I must say I was taken aback by Eminem’s uncanny foresight in his song “Fuel.” The subtle jabs at Sean “Diddy” Combs, particularly the clever wordplay that spells out “P. Diddy,” were a masterful display of lyrical dexterity and a testament to Eminem’s keen understanding of the industry’s inner workings.

Following a prolonged federal examination into Sean “Diddy” Combs over allegations involving sex trafficking, racketeering, and other offenses, the record producer was apprehended on September 16. He currently remains in custody, despite efforts to post a $50 million bail. The details of the case have left many stunned—notably the discovery of 1,000 bottles of lubricant during this year’s raids on his residences—but it seems unlikely that Eminem was taken aback by any of it. Fans are now beginning to recognize that the rapper made some harsh jabs at P. Diddy in his song “Fuel” prior to the arrest, months earlier.

Fans have recently started to grasp the clever wordplay in Eminem’s song “Fuel,” from his latest album “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), released in July.” In this track, Eminem uses the term “essay” as a reference to the abbreviation “SA” for sexual assault. Moreover, he intentionally misspells the word “rapper,” and it seems that some listeners are only now deciphering the deeper meaning of his subsequent lines. Here’s an example of a popular TikTok response:

Eminem rhymes, “I’m like a R-A-P-E-R,” causing some to wonder if he intentionally left out a letter in “Rapper” to resemble P. Diddy’s name, which is often abbreviated as P-Diddy on Twitter.

Fuel is going crazy viral cuz of them Diddy lines damn. Eminem ahead of the curve.

It appears that many viewers have only recently realized that “Diddy” includes both “Diddy” and “P”. In response to another video, a fan shared this observation:

I thought he was clever with the ‘did he’ took me a while to realize he literally said ‘P DIDDY.’

Indeed, other people mentioned the rest of the song’s lyrics, which make references to Keffe D (whose real name is Duane Davis). In 2023, he was accused of the murder of Tupac Shakur, a rival of Diddy’s friend The Notorious B.I.G. Davis reportedly asserted that Diddy offered him $1 million to eliminate Tupac.

In the bonus track “Fuel (Shady Edition),” Eminem says even more, rapping:

The death of Notorious B.I.G. was a chain reaction triggered by the killing of 2Pac, similar to when you need to clean the next tissue box, but when will Puff Daddy (Sean Combs) face justice and admit guilt before he is arrested?

It’s clear that Eminem predicted it accurately, as Sean “Puffy” Combs is currently incarcerated, awaiting trial. The music magnate found himself in legal hot water toward the end of 2023, when Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit against her former partner. However, this case was quickly resolved, but more lawsuits followed, and in March, federal authorities conducted raids on Diddy’s residences in Los Angeles and Miami. After his arrest, he pleaded innocent to charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

It seems that P. Diddy is set for a court appearance, yet it’s no secret what Eminem thinks about him; whether fans picked up on it back then or not.
