Emma Stone Debuts New Hair at Golden Globes

Emma Stone really said new year, new hair, new me.

At this year’s 2025 Golden Globe Awards held on Sunday, the Academy Award-winning actress unveiled a fresh pixie hairstyle as she graced the red carpet.

Or, more casually:

The Oscar-winning actress showed off her brand new pixie cut while attending the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday night.

Both sentences convey the same information but use slightly different wordings to make them sound fresh and engaging.

At the moment she stepped out of her vehicle, accompanied by her husband Dave McCary, it was her stunning new hairstyle that initially piqued viewers’ interest. Clad in a radiant red dress with an accentuating red belt at the waist, Stone wore a cheerful expression.

Although Stone didn’t secure a Golden Globe nomination this year, she was the top contender during the previous awards season. She won the accolade for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy at the 2024 ceremony for her role in Poor Things, which was directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. The movie itself also received the award for Best Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy.

Stone didn’t get nominated for a Golden Globe this year, but she was the one to beat in the last awards season. She won the prize for Best Actress at the 2024 ceremony for her performance in Poor Things, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. The film itself also won the award for being the best movie in the musical or comedy category.

In this remarkably praised movie, the story unfolds around the extraordinary transformation of Bella Baxter, portrayed by Mia Stone, a youthful character who miraculously regains life under the guidance of the genius and non-conventional scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter, played by Willem Dafoe. The cast also includes Mark Ruffalo and Ramy Youssef in Poor Things.

The actress was awarded the Oscar for Best Leading Actress last year for “Poor Things”, marking her second Academy Award win, following her victory in 2017 with “La La Land”.
