Indie game developer Amplitude Studios, known for creating Endless Legend, has officially announced that after a decade-long wait, fans of the 4X genre can look forward to Endless Legend 2 being released soon.
In the opening months of 2025, we’ll introduce Endless Legend 2 in its preliminary release stage. Here’s all the crucial information about it.
Endless Legend 2: A fresh take on the plot
In the sequel to Endless Legend, players are transported to the enigmatic underwater realm of Saiadha, which was once ruled by a formidable ancient civilization.
It’s fascinating to note that this planet features shifting seasons and awe-inspiring tidal changes which drastically transform its scenery. For instance, certain regions could be reachable or isolated based on the rise and fall of the tides.
At its heart, the main gameplay remains true to what made this franchise successful – it emphasizes in-depth strategy, diverse factions, and a storyline that propels the action forward. You have the freedom to pick the faction you wish to command.
In Endless Legends 2, while you’ll encounter a host of fresh factions, you can anticipate seeing some recognizable faces too, such as the Broken Lords and Necrophages, who made their debut in the original game.
In your role as a faction leader, you’ll embark on an exciting journey to discover the mysteries of the Saiadha planet, navigating challenging landscapes and encountering age-old perils along the way.
Endless Legend 2: Early Access details
At this moment, Endless Legend 2 is waiting on my Steam wishlist. It’s planned to start with a limited release as an early access version, which should become available around early 2025, although the exact launch date remains undisclosed for now.
If you’re curious to know if you can start playing the game ahead of time, consider joining the Amplitude Studios Insiders program. Luckily, they are accepting new members once more! Through this exclusive community, some lucky gamers get the chance to test out the game in beta before it becomes publicly available.
From January 30, 2025 onwards, individuals who are keen to participate can submit their applications for the Insider Program by completing a questionnaire available on Amplitude Studios’ main webpage.
Since the application process is selective, it’s possible that not every candidate will be chosen. Those who are chosen will receive a notification by email.
