Enola Holmes 3: Millie Bobby Brown’s Epic Malta Mystery Unveiled!

As a cinephile, I can’t help but marvel at the meteoric rise of Millie Bobby Brown, who catapulted to stardom through her captivating portrayal in Netflix’s groundbreaking sci-fi phenomenon, “Stranger Things.” Her association with Netflix didn’t end there; she extended her partnership with the streaming giant into a thrilling film series. The enigmatic franchise, already boasting two intriguing installments, is gearing up for another enthralling chapter.

Recently, Brown announced that production on “Enola Holmes 3” has commenced in early March, right in the heart of the United Kingdom. The film series is an adaptation from Nancy Springer’s book series titled “The Enola Holmes Mysteries“, where Brown portrays the main character, Enola, who happens to be the teenage sister of the Victorian-era’s famous detective, Sherlock Holmes. So, if you’re a fan, get ready for more adventures with Enola Holmes 3!

Stepping into the cinematic world once more, I find myself eagerly anticipating the next chapter of Enola Holmes’ adventures: Enola Holmes 3. This time, our intrepid protagonist leaves London behind and embarks on a thrilling journey that takes her to a new, unexplored location. Inspired by historical events such as the matchgirls’ strikes, Enola establishes her own detective agency in the previous film. Now, it’s time for the game to begin anew, as we follow Enola Holmes 3 and uncover its intriguing mysteries.

In the synopsis of “Enola Holmes 3,” the thrilling journey of our detective Enola Holmes leads her to the beautiful island of Malta. Here, her personal ambitions and professional goals intertwine in a complex and dangerous case, one that surpasses any challenge she has previously encountered.

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that Millie Bobby Brown steps back into her iconic role, with Louis Partridge joining her as Tewkesbury, Himesh Patel portraying Dr. John Watson, Henry Cavill donning the cloak of Sherlock Holmes, Helena Bonham Carter gracing our screens as Eudoria Holmes, and Sharon Duncan-Brewster bringing Moriarty to life in this exciting new production.

For the first two movies, Harry Bradbeer was in charge and Jack Thorne (known for “Toxic Town” and “Adolescence”) wrote the screenplay. Thorne will be back to write the script again, but this time Philip Barantini will direct “Enola Holmes 3”. He has previously collaborated with Thorne on “Adolescence”.

Millie Bobby Brown and Bobby Brown serve as producers under the banner of PCMA Productions, while Mary Parent, Ali Mendes, and Alex Garcia produce for Legendary Entertainment. Jake Bongiovi, Isobel Richards, Michael Dreyer, and Joshua Grode are overseeing this project as executive producers.

Enola Holmes Was a Critical Success

In the realm of streaming giants, I’ve found myself becoming a significant pull for Netflix, as my titles have consistently attracted impressive viewership numbers. Even my 2024 film, which faced less-than-favorable reviews from critics, managed to captivate audiences. Similarly, my 2025 project, despite initial skepticism, also resonated with both critics and viewers. Interestingly, both of the Enola Holmes films I starred in have been acclaimed by both critics and audience alike.

In 2020, the initial movie that came out received a 91% critical approval rating and a 71% audience rating. It was also one of the most-watched Netflix originals at its release, amassing 76 million views within the first four weeks. The follow-up, launched in 2022, outdid its predecessor in ratings, boasting a 93% critical score and an 79% audience rating. The sequel made a strong debut with 68 million hours viewed during its first week.

Enola Holmes 3 doesn’t have a release date.
