Entertainment Squad Takes Cosplay Fantasy Film ‘Lost Cos’ From Tony Award Winner Robin de Levita

Entertainment Squad, an independent distribution company, has purchased the fantasy film “Lost Cos,” penned and helmed by three-time Tony Award winner Robin de Levita (known for “Titanic,” “42nd Street,” and “Into the Woods”), for North America. This creative talent also received a Laurence Olivier Award for “The Who’s Tommy.

The cast of the movie “Lost Cos” includes Evgeniya Radilova (“Limitless”), Sammy Rubin (“How to Catch a Feeling and When to Let it Go”, “Nightwing: Escalation”), Jared Rinaldi (“Crazy Kinda Love”), Rocco Nevers (“Nightwing: Escalation”), Rob Franzese, Dena Tyler (“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”), Mark McCullough (“Platonic”), Ross Degraw (“Paterno”), Murray Hill (“Somebody Somewhere”), and newcomer Zoë Vnak.

The film, shot in New York, centers around Eni (Radilova), who is tormented by her troubled past and the demise of her beloved. As a refuge, she discovers a puzzling subterranean club named Lost Cos, where cosplay and burlesque artfully merge, and characters from fiction blend the boundary between illusion and the real world. However, when a cosplayer portraying ‘Merman’ is found lifeless on a New Jersey shoreline, and an enigmatic harasser intrudes upon her text conversations, Eni is compelled to tackle the traumatic events that have molded her life and evolve into a far more powerful figure.

Dutch creative professional de Levita has overseen the production of over 70 stage plays, some even gracing the stages of Broadway and London’s West End.

Entertainment Squad CEO Shaked Berenson stated that ‘Lost Cos’ transcends its status as a mere fantasy movie; it delves into themes of identity, metamorphosis, and the hazy boundary between real life and escapism,” he said. “Given the escalating trend of cosplay and fan culture, it seems particularly pertinent in today’s context.

The film has been shown and recognized with awards at various international film festivals such as the Barcelona Planet Film Festival, Burbank International Film Festival, Calcutta International Cult Film Festival, London Independent Film Awards, Los Angeles Cinematography Awards, New York Cinematography Awards, and Chelsea Film Festival.

The international distribution of the film is being managed by Princ Films. The filmmaker is associated with Sebastian Twardosz from Savant Artists, who worked out agreements with Entertainment Squad and Princ Films for this purpose.
