Ethel Kennedy Hospitalized Following Stroke, Daughter Shares: “She Is Surrounded by Family”

As a fervent admirer of the indomitable spirit and resilience of the Kennedy family, I find myself deeply saddened by the news of Ethel Kennedy‘s hospitalization following a stroke. Her life, marked by love, loss, and unwavering commitment to justice, has been a beacon of hope and inspiration for generations.

Ethel Kennedy was admitted to the hospital after suffering a stroke, as her daughter Kerry Kennedy revealed on Tuesday.

Kerry shared on social media that her mother, now 96, had an exceptional summer leading into autumn. Each day was filled with quality time spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She managed to spend time on the water, visit the pier, and share numerous meals with loved ones. It’s been a precious experience for everyone involved, and it seems just as rewarding for her too.

Last Thursday morning, Ethel had a stroke while sleeping, according to Kerry’s message. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment, where she currently resides under the best possible care. She is comfortable and surrounded by her family, which includes us. As you might be aware, Ethel is an incredibly strong woman who has lived a life full of accomplishment. We are now taking turns in caring for her.

Kerry ended her note by saying, “Let’s remember her in our thoughts and prayers. At the moment, please be mindful of our family’s need for solitude.

As a gamer, I’m proud to share that I’m connected to an extraordinary family – the Kennedys. Being the eldest living member, I carry a rich legacy. I was married to Robert F. Kennedy, a revered political figure, and am the sister-in-law of the iconic President John F. Kennedy. My son, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., recently concluded his presidential campaign and chose to support Donald Trump. Kerry, my daughter, leads the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights – an organization she inherited from me in 1968, following her husband’s tragic assassination. A testament to my contributions, President Obama bestowed upon me the prestigious Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2014.
