In my line of work focusing on the entertainment industry, I occasionally get the chance to encounter some well-known personalities. Despite this happening more than a few times, it never loses its charm and I’m always a bit awestruck when I come across someone whose talent I admire deeply. It seems that even celebrities themselves can be taken aback by meeting other famous figures, as Nicholas Hoult discovered upon meeting fellow X-Men cast member Halle Berry.
In the X-Men series produced by Fox, both Halle Berry and Nicholas Hoult featured, although they belonged to different eras. Berry portrayed Storm in the initial trilogy, whereas Hoult made his debut as Beast in the prequel sequence that initiated with X-Men: First Class. Interestingly, they both appeared in X-Men: Days of Future Past, even though they never filmed together. In an interview with W Magazine, Hoult shared that he crossed paths with Berry during the promotional events for the film. He confessed to having a long-standing crush on her, and the encounter left him awestruck, as he described it.
I had the pleasure of encountering Halle Berry while working on X-Men: Days of Future Past. Although our characters didn’t share any significant screen time, we participated in a few joint press interviews together. During these encounters, I managed to greet her, but was left speechless by her presence, experiencing a moment of starstruck awe.
Admit it, I wouldn’t blame anyone for being smitten by Nicholas Hoult. To me, Halle Berry is one of those radiant stars who could leave many of us starstruck, regardless of our prior knowledge about her. Just sharing the screen with her must have been awe-inspiring, before even getting a chance to meet her in person.
Without a doubt, Nicholas Hoult is a movie star in his own league, and it’s reasonable to assume that others would feel the same way about meeting him. Interestingly, during another encounter with Sharon Stone, it seemed she might not have been starstruck by him. However, she was clearly delighted to meet him, expressing her admiration for his work, a compliment that Hoult stated made his evening. Indeed…
At the Governors Awards, I found myself completely awestruck! Upon entering, none other than Sharon Stone was present. Just as she was about to leave, she looked at me and exclaimed, “You’re incredible!” I was taken aback, thinking she was speaking to someone else. But then she added, “You’re so good.” Fresh off my arrival, I replied, “I think I’ll head home now—my night couldn’t get any better!
People who haven’t yet realized just how extraordinarily talented Nicholas Hoult is are bound to discover it soon, given that he will be appearing in the cast of Superman, playing Lex Luthor. When I get the chance to interview him, I can assure you I won’t hide my starstruck feelings.
As a dedicated cinephile, I can’t help but speculate that Nicholas Hoult and Halle Berry might collaborate once more, this time in an upcoming Marvel production. Given the uncertainty surrounding the future of the X-Men within the MCU, it’s plausible they could step back into their respective roles at some point down the line. Frankly, I can only imagine that Nicholas wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to work with Halle Berry again.
