Every Movie Coming to Peacock in December 2024

As a long-time movie enthusiast who’s spent countless hours curled up in front of the silver screen, I must say that the upcoming lineup on Peacock is nothing short of a cinematic feast! From action-packed blockbusters like “Sonic The Hedgehog” and “Pacific Rim,” to heartwarming holiday films such as “The Christmas Quest” and “Hanukkah on the Rocks,” there’s truly something for everyone.

Once again, we find ourselves at the season where streaming services like Peacock aim to make the end of the year unforgettable for their viewers, and it seems they’re already setting things in motion. Over the past few years, Peacock has become a significant player in the entertainment industry, frequently focusing on mediums that don’t always receive due recognition, such as late-night talk shows, sports, and reality television.

Apart from being recognized for its regular monthly releases, some sourced from external services like NBC and Bravo, and others exclusive productions called Peacock originals, the streaming platform is particularly anticipated for its monthly introductions of new films. Keeping this in view, we’ve compiled a list featuring all the movies set to premiere on Peacock in December 2024.

‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’

Streaming December 1

In my opinion, there’s no better way to understand the enigmatic nature of love than by watching “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” a movie released in 2004. Directed brilliantly by Michel Gondry, this film has earned its spot among the all-time greats with an impressive Rotten Tomatoes audience score (Popcornmeter) of 94%.

Starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” is a movie that narrates the tale of Clementine and Joel, two individuals who were deeply in love at one point. However, when their relationship falls apart, Joel learns that Clementine has erased him from her memory. Feeling betrayed and enraged, Joel contemplates doing the same. Yet, as he goes through the process, memories of his beloved Clementine keep surfacing, making it evident that he can never completely erase her from his thoughts. Beginning Dec. 1, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” will be available for streaming on Peacock.

‘Inception’

Acclaimed director Christopher Nolan has produced some exceptional films throughout his career, ranging from the enduring classic Memento to the current blockbuster Oppenheimer. Among these masterpieces, Inception stands out as a rare cinematic gem that seldom graces our screens, owing to Nolan’s extraordinary narrative and screenwriting abilities, which took its influence to unprecedented levels.

In the groundbreaking movie “Inception,” Leonardo DiCaprio portrays Dom Cobb, a highly skilled thief who excels at raiding people’s subconscious minds. Unfortunately, in his pursuit of this art, he lost everything dear to him. With one final chance for redemption, Cobb is tasked with an impossible mission: instead of stealing thoughts, he must implant an idea within someone else’s subconscious. Starting Dec. 1, you can watch “Inception” on Peacock.

‘Sonic The Hedgehog’

Streaming December 1

In a time when most movie adaptations of video games tend to fall flat, Sonic The Hedgehog stood out as something of an exception. Originating from the game series produced by Sega, Sonic The Hedgehog follows the adventures of the speediest hedgehog in existence, who flees his home planet Mobius to seek refuge on Earth. Unfortunately, he unintentionally causes a power outage over a large portion of the United States, making him the focus of Dr. Robotnik’s pursuit – a maniacal scientist determined to conquer the world. Can Sonic thwart this mad scientist before he wreaks havoc on our planet?

Not only did the movie receive high praise from critics, but it also brought in an impressive amount of money at the box office, earning $320 million against a budget of just $90 million. If you’ve been eagerly waiting for Sonic The Hedgehog 3 to hit theaters this December, it would be beneficial to watch the prequel as it will be available on Peacock starting December 1st.

‘Speak No Evil’

Streaming December 1

Rarely do remakes meet their expectations, but when they do, we end up with movies like “Speak No Evil“, which is widely regarded as one of the top horror films of this year. Notably, James McAvoy delivers an exceptional performance as Paddy, while James Watkins excels in both directing and scriptwriting.

According to the 2022 movie titled “Speak No Evil,” this Danish-Dutch production tells the story of an American family who receive an invitation from another seemingly courteous family to spend a weekend at their idyllic countryside home. Initially, the visit appears to be nothing but friendly hospitality; however, things take a sinister turn as they uncover a troubling destiny lurking in their hosts’ home. Beginning Dec. 1, “Speak No Evil” will join Peacock’s streaming library.
