In the game Elden Ring: Nightreign, every Nightfarer has a tale waiting to be shared, and they manifest as Remembrance quests. These can be thought of as flashbacks that allow players to delve into the forgotten memories of the playable characters. Not only do these quests offer insights into their backstories, but they also bestow unique rewards for each Nightfarer, making them worthwhile endeavors.

Remembrance missions can be both straightforward and puzzling. Some are quite easy, while others may prove challenging. To ensure you complete all Remembrance quests for each Nightreign character, here’s a concise guide that outlines the objectives in each mission, along with the rewards you stand to gain from them.

How to Unlock Remembrance Quests

You can check out the Rememberance quests that are currently available by heading over to the Journal in the Roundtable Hold. Alternatively, you can access the Shortcuts menu by clicking on your map key.

The Journal holds tales about each of the Nightfarers, some of which include quests you can play as the character you picked. It appears that Journal entries are unlocked at random, but the most effective method to open more entries (and therefore, more character-specific quests) is by continuing to play with that specific character. When you obtain a Memory Fragment during your adventure, it will unlock the subsequent Journal entry for that character.

In remembrance quests, each new quest is made available after the previous one, and typically, there’s just one journal entry between them. To access all these quests, players must dedicate themselves to playing a single character throughout their journey.

Once the expedition is over, look for indicators on the lower-right corner of your screen to find out if you’ve obtained a Memory Fragment.

Wylder Remembrance Quests in Nightreign

As for rewards, you’ll get the following:

Slate Whetstone: Enables follow-up attacks after using Wylder’s Skill while using a greatsword. Also improves Physical Attack.
Wylder’s Chalice: Includes 1 Red, 1 Yellow, and 1 Flexible Relic Slot, which can hold a Relic of any color.
Silver Tear: Using Wylder’s Art greatly refills the Art gauge. Also increases Ultimate Art Gauge and Arcane by 3.
Wylder’s Earring: Wylder’s Art spreads fire in an area when used, and Wylder’s Skill gains an extra charge. You recover stamina with each successful attack.

Guardian Remembrance Quests in Nightreign

In comparison to Wylder’s mission, The Guardian’s Rememberance quest offers a more simplified approach. Instead of collecting various items, players are tasked with locating a Golem boss and a Merchant in Limveld. Upon re-entering an Expedition, the locations of both characters will be clearly marked on your map. The primary objectives become defeating the Golem and purchasing the Third Volume item from the Merchant.

During certain stages of the Roundtable Hold quest, players are solely engaged with Non-Player Characters (NPCs). However, in the climactic quest, players will face a pivotal decision: whether to show mercy or exact punishment upon the Recluse for her wrongdoings. Your choice will influence the nature of your subsequent reward.

Speaking of rewards, here’s what they do:

Stone Stake: Increases the duration of Guardian’s Skill and reduces its cooldown.
Guardian’s Chalice: 1 Blue, 1 Yellow, 1 Flexible Relic Slot
Third Volume: Charged attacks with halberds as Guardian create whirlwinds. Halberd attacks also restore HP.
Witch’s Relic/Cracked Witch’s Relic: Guardian’s Art slowly restores ally’s health when active, and a portion of damage taken is reflected back when Ability (Enhanced Guard) is activated. Additionally increasees Vigor by 3.

The Witch’s Relic and Cracked Witch’s Relic have the same effect.

Raider Remembrance Quests in Nightreign

Rather than embarking on Expeditions, these quests transport players directly into a specific arena, where they engage in duels against bosses. During these battles, it’s essential to interact with the Iron Menial and touch the monument at the Roundtable Hold. These quests are relatively straightforward and can be completed swiftly among the more challenging tasks.

For winning the gladiator battles, you’ll get the following rewards:

Torn Braided Cord: Taking damage while using Raider’s Skill improves attack power and stamina. Additionally grants +3 Strength.
Black Claw Necklace: Defeating enemies near Totem Stela (Raider’s Ultimate Art) restores HP, and defeating enemies restore more of the Art gauge. Additionally grants +3 Poise.

Ironeye Remembrance Quests in Nightreign

This chain of Remembrance quests rewards you with the following:

Blessed Flowers: Restore HP after parrying enough attacks with Executor’s Skill. Additionally grants +3 Dexterity.
Executor’s Chalice: 1 Blue, 1 Yellow, 1 Flexible Relic Slot
Golden Sprout: Roaring while Art is active restores HP. When your health is low, slowly regenerate HP for self and allies, and you gain HP whenever you successfully block an attack.

As a gamer immersed in the world of this game, I find that the Duchess’ Remembrance quests delve deeper into her narrative compared to others. However, it’s no secret that collecting all those Memory Fragments as Duchess can be quite a challenge, she isn’t the most user-friendly Nightfarer after all!

Golden Dew: Improves Duchess’ Skill attack power and boosts the power of added affinity attacks (damage from added weapon affinities, e.g. Holy, Fire, Lightning, Magic damage)
Crown Medal: A full Dagger combo with Duchess applies the effect of her Restage skill on her enemies. Additionally improves Dagger Attack Power.
Blessed Iron Coin: Defeating enemies while Duchess’ Art is active improves attack power. Additionally provides continuous HP recovery and +3 Vigor.

This tale is intriguing in its exploration of the darker aspects of the Painted Worlds reminiscent of Dark Souls.

Completing Revenant’s quests gives you the following:

Small Makeup Brush: Increases your power while fighting alongside your summoned spirits. Additionally increases rune acquisition for you and allies.
