As someone who has spent countless hours engrossed in documentaries and natural history shows, I am genuinely excited about the upcoming release of “Tsunami: Race Against Time” on Disney+. Having lived through various storms and earthquakes myself, I can only imagine the sheer terror and devastation that the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami must have caused.
As Halloween-themed programming winds down, viewers are gearing up for the upcoming holiday season. On Disney+, this month is a period of transition with minimal new content available. However, it still provides some tantalizing treats: the continuation of the Spanish series “Ayla and The Mirrors,” showcasing Disney’s commitment to a diverse viewer base. Before Thanksgiving arrives, the Green Family from Disney’s “Big City Greens” will be celebrating the holiday in a special episode. Additionally, an original documentary from National Geographic, “Tsunami: Race Against Time,” offers a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most significant natural disasters in recent history, the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
This month brings fresh adventures for our tiniest family members with new installments of SuperKitties: Pawsome Tales, Kindergarten: The Melodious Rhapsody, and Disney Jr.’s Ariel. To help kick off the holiday season, Mickey and Minnie’s Holiday Carols will have your children humming along when new episodes debut at the end of November. Meanwhile, for grown-ups, the 33rd season of Dancing with the Stars continues its run. Additionally, The Stanford Prison Experiment: Unveiling Truths delves deeper into one of history’s most contentious social experiments with new episodes as well. Here are some of Disney+’s November highlights, along with a rundown of all the new content coming to the platform.
Ayla & The Mirrors
New Episodes Streaming on November 1
Born into affluence, Ayla’s life takes an unexpected turn when her father passes away and she suffers memory loss due to an accident. This tragic event sends her to a shelter where she embarks on a journey of self-discovery. There, she encounters a new companion named Inés and a dance troupe called Los Mirror, which provides her an outlet for self-expression. Simultaneously, Ayla discovers that she can perceive people’s feelings through what she terms “musical daydreams.” Ayla embarks on a journey of healing by leaning on the support of her friends and viewing the world as if it were a musical performance.
As a devoted Disney fan, I’m thrilled to share that Disney+ has just added another gem to its collection – Ayla & The Mirrors! This is the second Spanish-language series produced by Disney specifically for their streaming platform and it’s already creating a buzz with its engaging narratives and captivating musical/dance sequences. Starting November 1st, five new episodes will be released (26th to 30th), but don’t worry if you miss them! All previous episodes are readily available for streaming on Disney+. The show is also offered in both dubbed and subtitled versions, allowing everyone to join Ayla and her friends in the dance and song. It’s not just fun, it’s also a great opportunity for young learners to pick up the language. So mark your calendars, fellow Disney enthusiasts! Ayla & The Mirrors continues on Disney+ from November 1st.

Big City Greens has delighted fans for three seasons now. In the fourth season, the family finds themselves juggling life in the city and their refurbished farm, demonstrating that this animated series keeps evolving.
On November 20th, a new episode of “Big City Greens” will be available for streaming on Disney+. Entitled “Turkey Trouble/Hard Bargain,” this is the eleventh episode and promises to be an engaging prelude to Thanksgiving. If you’re eager to keep up with the Green family, you can catch up by streaming all three seasons and the current episodes of Season 4 on Disney+. With a fifth season already confirmed, now is the perfect moment to dive into this entertaining series. So, mark your calendars for November 20th, as “Big City Greens” returns!
