Every TV Show Coming to Prime Video in November 2024

As a longtime fan of both James Patterson’s novels and psychological crime dramas, I am beyond excited for the upcoming series “Cross” on Prime Video! After the less-than-satisfying film adaptation of Alex Cross in 2012, it’s refreshing to see the character being handled with such care and skill by creator Ben Watkins. The cast looks fantastic, and I can’t wait to see Aldis Hodge bring Alex Cross to life on screen.

In November, Amazon Prime Video is ramping up its offerings with some enthralling new series and a live-action rendition of a cherished manga/anime title. The upcoming fall season promises to deliver a rollercoaster ride for those who are subscribed to Amazon Prime. This lineup includes a spin-off of the much-loved American spy action series Citadel: Honey Bunny. For individuals seeking less action and more suspense in the crime genre, the premiere of Cross is scheduled for this month. For those preferring a unique psychological narrative, the intricate body-swapping, idol-focused, murder mystery of Oshi No Ko will be available on Amazon Prime at the end of November.

Apart from these three notable series, Amazon Prime Video presents some captivating documentaries for this month. Among them are “German Cocaine Cowboy” and “Every Minute Counts”. Additionally, the streaming service is planning to introduce more game shows with “Wish List Games”. Here’s all you need to know to catch these programs on Amazon Prime Video in November.

Citadel: Honey Bunny

Streaming on November 7

Titled “Citadel: Honey Bunny“, this spin-off of the American series “Citadel” introduces a duo – stuntman “Bunny” and actress “Honey”. Initially, they engage in a side job, only to be unwittingly plunged into the realm of espionage, straining their romantic bond. Years pass, and they grow apart. However, destiny brings them back together when they’re compelled to unite once more, this time to protect their daughter, Nadia. “Citadel: Honey Bunny” aims to enrich the universe of the original series and the recent “Citadel: Diana“, serving as a complementary piece. Yet, it can also be enjoyed independently.

In “Citadel: Honey Bunny,” the narrative shifts to the bustling city of Bombay, India during the 1990s. This change of location not only adds a fresh and captivating twist but also showcases Indian talent, featuring actors like Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, as well as directors Raj & DK and Sita R. Menon. Fans can anticipate the signature pulse-pounding action alongside an emotional tale as the next installment of Citadel premieres on November 7 exclusively on Prime Video.

Cross

Streaming on November 14

In the style of the well-known Alex Cross novels penned by James Patterson, the character named Cross narrates the story of detective and forensic psychologist, Alex Cross, as he investigates a string of crimes that require him to probe into the psyche of a murderer. Simultaneously, Cross must walk a tightrope between bringing criminals to justice while ensuring the protection of his loved ones, given that his abilities in apprehending the worst killers have marked him as a target. Notably, this is the inaugural adaptation of James Patterson’s work into a television series.

Previously, Alex Cross has graced our screens, but the 2012 film “Alex Cross” didn’t quite capture his essence, leaving author James Patterson dissatisfied with the portrayal. However, fans can rejoice as Cross is looking to be an exceptional adaptation of the beloved character (though there are plans to deviate from the novel). The talented Ben Watkins, known for “Burn Notice,” is at the helm of this project. The series boasts a stellar cast, including Aldis Hodge as Alex Cross, Isaiah Mustafa as Detective John Sampson, Ryan Eggold as Ed Ramsey, and Juanita Jennings as Regina Cross. We’re in for a treat with this psychological crime drama – “Cross” premieres on Prime Video on November 14.

Oshi No Ko

Streaming on November 28

Oshi No Ko has swept through culture, gaining massive popularity in the realms of Japanese manga and anime. Its sales have soared past nine million copies, while its anime version has garnered critical acclaim and maintained a top position on charts. There’s no denying that many will eagerly await the live-action adaptation, hoping it can match or surpass the success of the original content.

In simpler terms, the show “Oshi No Ko” will be making a comeback on November 27th, available for streaming on Prime Video. The plot of this series involves elements like murder, rebirth, and the challenges faced in pop-idol culture, all presented with a blend of different genres, such as drama infused with psychology, and an exploration of the intricacies of fame. This show might be more appealing to those who appreciate complex stories, but it may not be for everyone due to its niche themes.
