As a seasoned gamer with an insatiable appetite for all things entertainment, especially television and media, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation upon hearing about the lineup for this year’s Royal Television Society’s (RTS) London Convention!

This year, the list of speakers at the Royal Television Society’s (RTS) London Convention includes former soccer star David Beckham, who is also an industry leader.

On September 17th, Beckham will engage in a discussion with Jane Featherstone, who is the co-founder and creative head of content company Sister. Last year, the former athlete won over audiences with his Netflix documentary series titled “Beckham”, accumulating a massive viewership of 3.8 million within the first four days of its October release.

For the one-day conference in the UK’s television and media sector, the following individuals will be speaking: Rachel Corp, the CEO of ITN, Dame Melanie Dawes, head of U.K. media regulatory body Ofcom, Cécile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of Sky Studios as well as the chief content officer, and Lisa Nandy, the current UK’s Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.

In 2024, the convention titled “The Next Chapter: Maintaining Our Creative Momentum” is set to be led by Anna Mallett, Vice President of Production at Netflix EMEA/U.K., with Netflix taking on the main role as the event’s sponsor. The event will kick off with a speech from Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos.

The lineup additionally features Alex Mahon, CEO of Channel 4, journalist and host Amol Rajan, renowned quiz show co-host Richard Osman (known for his best-selling crime novel “The Thursday Murder Club”), as well as Marina Hyde, a columnist for The Guardian.
