As a die-hard fan of Bollywood and the magical world of cinema, I must say that Bhushan Kumar’s journey is nothing short of phenomenal! The man is not just a producer; he’s a visionary who sees beyond the present and paints the future with his bold, franchise-driven ideas.
Based on the triumphs of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, producer Bhushan Kumar plans to develop numerous intellectual properties with franchise series over the next two years. In a recent interview, he highlighted the strength of franchises and their impact at the box office. He also described Bhool Bhualiyaa 3 as an ideal blend of franchise concept and skilled actors. As franchises gain traction in India following the post-pandemic era, where they are increasingly replacing traditional stardom, Kumar is poised to release up to 8 franchise films in the near future.
Based on information from reliable sources involved in the production, the upcoming projects for the big screen following “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” are “Raid 2” and “De De Pyaar De 2”, scheduled to release in February and May 2025 respectively. A source confided, “At T Series, Bhushan Kumar is aiming to make stars out of intellectual properties (IPs), and there are numerous films in the development stage for parts two and three. The most ambitious of these projects is India’s largest war film, “Border 2“, featuring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh. This will be followed by “Animal Park”, the sequel to the 2023 cult hit, “Animal”, starring Ranbir Kapoor. While filming for “Border 2” begins in November 2024, “Animal Park” is set to start production in 2026 after Sandeep Reddy Vanga completes “Spirit” with Prabhas.
