Director Anil Sharma, known for Gadar 2, has left fans eagerly anticipating with two upcoming sequels, Gadar 3 and Apne 2. In a recent chat with TopMob, the director gave some insight into the current progress of both movies. Furthermore, he revealed intriguing details about his forthcoming film Vanvaas, featuring Nana Patekar and his son Utkarsh Sharma.
Following the triumphant release of Gadar 2, director Anil Sharma has moved on to oversee Vanvaas starring his son Utkarsh Sharma and Nana Patekar. Regarding the progress of Gadar 3, he shared that the preparations are ongoing, as they continue to develop the storyline.
Sharma mentioned that at present, he’s engrossed in a project called Vanvaas, following which he intends to focus on Gadar 3. Regarding the film, the director of Gadar 2 referred to Vanvaas as a modern-day emotional equivalent of Gadar. He also mentioned that with his upcoming production, he will once more delve into the family genre, similar to his past films like Shradhanjali, Bandhan Kuchchey Dhaagon Ka, and Apne, all of which were well-received by audiences.
In Banaras, where Kumbh takes place, there’s a deeply moving experience, a life journey that everyone can relate to. This was shared with us by the director, who also confirmed that it would be released towards the end of this year, after which he will focus on Gadar 3.
In our discussion, he was unwilling to disclose any details when we inquired about Sunny Deol’s upcoming film Apne 2. Instead, he simply mentioned that they would discuss Apne 2 at a later time.
Significantly, Sharma expressed his opinion that creating sequels should involve reintroducing characters from the initial installment since audiences have already formed connections with them. Adding fresh characters might pose a challenge.
