Amar Kaushik Shares What He Would Change About Bhediya If He Could
During an interview with TopMob following the triumphant success of Stree 2, director Amar Kaushik was questioned if he would make any adjustments to his film Bhediya if given a second chance. Bhediya earned approximately Rs 60 crore net in India but underperformed compared to expectations. One reason suggested for the film’s poor performance was its release timing, as it came out shortly after Drishyam 2, which continued to perform well even during its second week. Considering the film’s overall performance, Amar expressed some thoughts: “There are a few tweaks I might consider. For instance, I’m pondering over the finale; maybe it could be different. It’s hard to decide because we were writing it in 2020 when environmental issues were heavily debated; perhaps the message could be delivered more subtly, or then again, maybe not. However, regarding the actors’ performances, the VFX, the storyline, I would keep it as is.”

Amar Kaushik Tells When He Decided That Bhediya Would Completely Turn Into A Werewolf
Amar shared his thoughts when he became convinced that the character of Bhediya would transform fully into a werewolf, rather than remaining half man and half werewolf as seen in many Hollywood films. He explained, “A half man, half werewolf has been shown in countless movies. While working on Bhediya, I saw it portrayed that way. Initially, I intended to keep the character that way (half man, half werewolf). However, I began to wonder if we couldn’t offer something new, like having the character fully transform into an animal when in nature. This idea of him completely changing into a werewolf while in his natural habitat was always intriguing to me.”
Amar Kaushik Has Conceptualised Another Way To Present Bhediya
The director teased his viewers of another way that he will present Bhediya in. He said, “I have another way to show him too. Let’s see how that works”. “Everything is too budget oriented. Now that I am getting money because of my audience, I will invest that into new characters; The new kind of experience”, he concluded.
