As an ardent follower of Kartik Aaryan‘s journey, I am nothing short of amazed by his resilience and determination. His transition from engineering student to one of Bollywood’s top actors is not just a success story but a testament to his unwavering spirit. What sets him apart, however, is his ability to navigate the ups and downs of the industry without developing an attachment to either success or failure.
As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but marvel at Kartik Aaryan’s remarkable transformation from a humble engineering student to one of Bollywood’s leading actors. In an intimate chat with TopMob, this charismatic star revealed that his journey hasn’t been without its challenges, even after securing his debut film. From the moment he stepped into the industry, Kartik has consistently strived to validate something or other at the box office with every fresh release on a Friday. Yet, over time, the Chandu Champion has come to understand that clinging to any particular Friday, setback, or triumph isn’t healthy for his journey. This enlightened perspective has been instrumental in helping him navigate through the ups and downs of his career.
During the recent installment of the TopMob Masterclass at IFP Season 14, Kartik Aaryan was questioned about the most significant lesson he’s learned throughout his 13-year career in the industry. In response, the actor shared that with each Friday release of his films, he has consistently been striving to demonstrate something.
Take a look:
Through this experience, he learned a valuable lesson: one should not become overly attached to either triumph or defeat. The star of Luv Aaj Kal elaborated that nobody can predict a movie’s box office success, be it an established director, producer, actor, or novice in the field. Consequently, he focuses on a film’s performance for about a week or ten days before shifting his focus elsewhere.
During a conversation, Kartik reminisced about an intriguing realization from his Bollywood voyage. He admitted that when he was facing difficulties during auditions, he thought that securing his first film role would automatically set his career on the right track. It’s worth noting that Kartik made his debut in 2011 with Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar Ka Punchnama.
After the movie was released, his viewpoint shifted. He soon understood that his challenges had grown even tougher, as he now faced the additional task of sustaining his acting career.
Reflecting on his unpredictable career path that’s seen both successes and setbacks, he commented, “After my initial film release, it seemed like my career was over when they didn’t do well at the box office. But then I had a few hits, which made me think I’d finally made it in the industry. It turns out, though, that no one can truly predict this roller-coaster ride of showbiz.
Kartik summed up by expressing his gratitude for continuing to receive great movie offers and chances to work, even amidst the challenges and uncertainty on Fridays.
Right now, Kartik is keeping himself occupied with the promotion of his upcoming movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. This movie is directed by Anees Bazmee and features Triptii Dimri and Vidya Balan as co-stars. The film trailer has garnered positive feedback from viewers, and it’s scheduled to hit the big screens on November 1, 2024.
