As a fan who has been on this rollercoaster ride since Stree, I can confidently say that Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films have truly mastered the art of horror comedy. Their ability to consistently deliver blockbusters like Bhediya, Munjya, and Stree 2 is nothing short of remarkable. The expansion of their universe into a superhero realm feels like the cherry on top of an already delicious cake!
With each new addition to the line-up, my anticipation for what’s coming next grows exponentially. Thama, Shakti Shalini, Chamunda, Bhediya 2, and Stree 3 are all titles that make me giddy with excitement. And let’s not forget about Mahamunjya and the epic two-part saga Mahayudh!
As I eagerly await these films, I can’t help but wonder what other surprises Maddock Films have up their sleeves for 2025. Maybe they’re working on a horror comedy superhero musical? Now that would be something to behold!
In the meantime, I’ll just keep rewatching Stree and Bhediya on loop, waiting for my favorite characters to return and embark on their next adventure. After all, as they say, laughter is the best medicine – and these films are the perfect prescription for a good laugh!
In 2018, Dinesh Vijan produced the hit horror comedy film Stree, featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Since then, he has consistently produced content in this genre, captivating audiences with Bhediya, Munjya, and Stree 2. The success of these films also established Maddock Films as a unique horror comedy universe. In 2025, Maddock Films plans to expand this universe even further, with the upcoming releases Thama, Shakti Shalini, and Chamunda. Exclusive information suggests that Maddock Films is about to embark on their most ambitious project yet – a groundbreaking, interconnected cinematic universe of horror-comedy superheroes.
Starting in 2025, producer Dinesh Vijan plans to release two movies annually from his universe until 2028. The horror-comedy superhero universe will progress into its second phase in 2025 with the film “Thama” scheduled for Diwali, followed by “Shakti Shalini” on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2025. These movies will lead to the release of “Bhediya 2” on August 14, 2026, and “Chamunda” on December 4, 2026, according to an insider’s report.
According to additional information, it’s been announced that two popular film series, initially launched in 2024, will make their comeback in 2027. Specifically, “Stree 3” is set for release on August 13 and “Mahamunjya” on December 24. The overall storyline of these films, collectively known as the universe of Maddock horror comedy, will reach its climax in “Mahayudh”, a two-part spectacle slated for 2028. This upcoming film promises to revolutionize the horror-comedy genre in Indian cinema by featuring characters from various Maddock universe superhero films and aiming to surpass previous boundaries of both genre and scale. The first part, “Pehla Mahayudh”, will premiere on August 11, 2028, followed by the second part during the Diwali season in 2028, specifically on October 18.
