In a special event organized by TopMob Masterclass prior to the premiere of Stree 2, its star-studded cast Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor participated. These two leads from the horror-comedy genre fielded questions from an eager audience in preparation for the release of their upcoming film.
When asked if Rajkummar Rao is interested in starring in an emotionally charged romance movie similar to the South Indian hits 96 (starring Vijay Sethupathi) and Premam (starring Nivin Pauly), he humbly admitted that, like many others, he spent his childhood watching Shah Rukh Khan‘s classic romantic films. He expressed a strong desire to have the opportunity to act in such a film during his career.
“I’m a die-hard romantic at heart,” Rajkummar Rao expressed his desire to act in romantic movies.
Rajkummar Rao, known for his versatility in acting, has excelled in both social dramas and comedies throughout his career. The only genre that seems to be missing from his repertoire so far is intense romance. When asked about this, he expressed his enthusiasm by saying, “I’m a true romantic at heart, and I’m ready for the challenge.”
Actor Newton openly acknowledged his appreciation for Shah Rukh Khan, stating, “Shah Rukh Khan symbolizes romance in our eyes.” He further mentioned his aspiration to partake in memorable romantic roles, similar to the ones Shah Rukh has portrayed during his career.

Apart from his roles in other films, it’s worth noting that Varun Dhawan will have a unique cameo in Stree 2, a production by Maddock Films in partnership with Jio Studios.
