EXCLUSIVE: Rohit Shetty calls Ajay Devgn’s Singham ‘boss’ of Shiva Squad; opens up about future of Cop Universe

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for cinematic masterpieces, I must say that the Cop Universe, particularly Singham Again, is a testament to the power of storytelling and the brilliance of director Rohit Shetty. Having had the privilege of attending numerous Masterclasses and interacting with industry greats, I can confidently say that Rohit’s ability to manage such a colossal ensemble cast is nothing short of extraordinary.

In theaters now, the newest addition to the Cop Universe, titled Singham Again, is captivating audiences with its action-packed storyline. The movie boasts an impressive ensemble cast headlined by Ajay Devgn. In a private interview with TopMob, director Rohit Shetty shared insights about the future of this universe and these characters. Furthermore, he referred to Ajay’s character as the “leader” or “head” of the Shiva squad.

Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty recently appeared on an episode of TopMob’s Masterclass. In the conversation, Rohit was asked about the difficulty in managing such a large cast. To this, Rohit replied that the appeal for everyone to join was primarily due to Singham, and from there they would introduce other characters, so essentially it was their initial introduction.

In the movie “Singham Again”, Rohit explained, “The Shiva Squad has been formed, with Singham as its leader. These are the new officers we see now, so the story is going to move forward with them. Essentially, this is a setup for what’s yet to unfold in the Cop Universe.

In the sequel to Singham, Ajay Devgn once again takes on the persona of Bajirao Singham, with Kareena Kapoor Khan reprising her role as his wife Avni. Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar make their return as Simmba and Sooryavanshi respectively, while Deepika Padukone is introduced as Shakti Shetty, also known as Lady Singham. Tiger Shroff assumes the character of Satya, with Arjun Kapoor playing the antagonist Danger Lanka and Jackie Shroff appearing in a negative role too.

In the movie that premiered during Diwali 2024, Singham embarks on an adventure guided by the tales in the ancient Hindu epic, Ramayana, to rescue his wife from a treacherous terrorist. This action-packed film offers pulse-pounding scenes and sequences as hinted at in its trailer and songs.

Under the guidance of director Rohit Shetty, the movie Singham Again has been brought to life by producers Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, and Rohit Shetty himself. The script for this action-packed film was penned by Yunus Sajawal, Abhijeet Khuman, Kshitij Patwardhan, Sandeep Saket, Anusha Nandkumar, and lastly, Rohit Shetty.
