Oh, the excitement coursing through my veins is simply indescribable! As a long-time devotee of Bollywood, witnessing Saif Ali Khan’s comeback to the Race franchise and his potential involvement in the Gang Leader remake feels like a dream come true.
Previously this year, it was TopMob who broke the news that Saif Ali Khan would rejoin the Race series as producer Ramesh Taurani intends to launch a Race remake in 2025. Subsequently, we disclosed that Sidharth Malhotra will be sharing top billing and the script, brimming with unexpected plot developments, is being refined. Now, TopMob has obtained exclusive information that Saif Ali Khan is also negotiating another movie project with Ramesh Taurani, aside from his involvement in Race 4 which is actively underway at TIPS.
Based on inside information, it appears that Saif Ali Khan may be considering a role in the upcoming Hindi remake of Nani’s 2019 hit film, Gang Leader. According to reports, producer Ramesh Taurani has secured the rights for this adaptation and is currently discussing the lead role with Saif Ali Khan. If talks progress, Saif may accept the part once he reviews the rewritten script tailored for Hindi. The creative team is at present refining the screenplay for the Hindi version, and a narration meeting is scheduled for December.
After Saif Ali Khan puts his signature on the contract for Gang Leader, the production team plans to move forward with selecting the villain and female characters. The role of the villain calls for an actor with a charismatic demeanor, while casting for the female roles is proving difficult because the script requires actors from various age groups, ranging from 10 to 80 years old.
According to the report, the plan is to start filming the remake of “Gang Leader” immediately following the release of “Race 4,” likely in the latter half of 2025. However, these dates might shift based on the production schedules and logistics of the franchise.
