Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao recently shared their insights in an exclusive Masterclass at TopMob, discussing their highly anticipated sequel, Stree 2, as well as the horror-comedy universe created by Maddock. Additionally, they spoke about their methods for selecting and working on films.

Shraddha Kapoor Shares Why She Has Become Selective About The Films She Chooses

During an exclusive workshop led by Himesh Mankad at TopMob Masterclass, prior to the premiere of Stree 2, Shraddha Kapoor was questioned about her discerning approach towards selecting films. Notably, Stree 2 marks her second release since the pandemic, which is less frequent compared to her peers who have had multiple theatrical releases and are currently involved in more projects. In response, Shraddha stated, “I’ve gained clarity that I wish to be associated with movies that truly captivate me, as well as the audience. The audience also has certain expectations regarding the type of films I should be involved in and the characters I portray. Until I don’t feel a sense of belonging to this film or character, I am content to patiently wait for the perfect movie and character opportunity.”

Rajkummar Rao Opens Up About How He Is Able To Work On Four Films Each Year

Unlike Shraddha Kapoor, who is particular about the films she accepts, Rajkummar Rao consistently produces around three to four releases annually. When asked about his ability to portray such diverse roles convincingly each year, he explained, “That’s part of my job. If I am dedicated to a film or a character, I give it my best effort. I work on one project at a time and invest my energy into that character. Once completed, I take a break, travel outside the country or simply stay away from home, go for a short vacation, return refreshed, and then focus on the next project. So it can be done. I won’t say it’s impossible, but I enjoy taking on different stories and portraying contrasting characters on screen. My challenge is always to make my character stand out – like Mahi (Mahendra in Mr And Mrs Mahi) and Vicky (Stree) are completely different.”
