EXCLUSIVE: Stree 2 actor Sunil Kumar aka Sarkata recalls best time he had with Shraddha Kapoor on sets; 'Unke saath acha lagta tha baatein karna'

As a lifestyle expert, I must say that it’s always a delight to witness the rise of new talent in the world of cinema. Sunil Kumar, or Sarkata as we know him from Stree 2, has managed to make a lasting impression with his endearing performance.

In a new turn of events, it’s Sunil Kumar who steals the spotlight in the movie “Stree 2,” where he plays Sarkata. He shared insights about his time collaborating with the main actors Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and veteran actor Pankaj Tripathi during filming.

As I sat down for an exclusive chat with TopMob, none other than Sunil Kumar, fondly known as Sarkata, shared his experiences from Amar Kaushik’s Stree 2 set. He reminisced about the mornings when Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and Pankaj Tripathi would turn up the music and dance. “The joy and excitement that filled the set during those times made shooting a real delight,” he shared.

He also mentioned that Shraddha, Rajkummar, and Pankaj are all very kind-hearted individuals. In our interactions, I found them to be particularly nice people.

Sunil continued to remember that he spent most of his scenes working alongside Shraddha. Expressing admiration for her, he reminisced about the enjoyable times they shared. He commented, “It felt nice talking to her, we spent a lot of time and had many conversations. I’m more on the reserved side, I don’t talk much but she talks a lot so we had plenty to chat about.”

In our chat, the actor from Strange 2 shared that at first, he was quite anxious while filming. But his fellow actors managed to make him chuckle, easing his tension. Later on, he grew more relaxed.

To wrap it up, he gleefully shared his joy about collaborating on the horror-comedy. He mentioned, “I didn’t think I would ever work with such big stars. I live in a small town and had gone to Mumbai from there. It was an opportunity to meet the stars we used to watch on screen.”

Stree 2 is currently running successfully in the theaters.
