Sunny stated that as an actor, it’s essential to embody and feel passionate about the character you portray. He emphasized the importance of trusting the director’s vision because today’s technology makes it so convincing. He recalled being amazed by Superman and noted how Indian technology is improving, with concerns over ‘Chal Jayega’ becoming less frequent. Instead, everyone is striving for perfection. Additionally, Sunny expressed his enjoyment of the process of working on Ramayana.
Sunny expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming Ramayana film, as Namit Malhotra (DNEG) is currently leading special effects companies worldwide. He believes Namit is exceptionally capable and the ideal choice for this project. Namit aims to make the film convincing, as he strongly identifies with the story. Sunny has known him for years and thinks Namit has found the perfect film to showcase his skills.
Sunny spoke candidly about the challenges of portraying Lord Hanuman in the upcoming Nitesh Tiwari film, set to release over Diwali weekend 2026. He admitted, “As actors, we strive to do our best. However, playing Hanuman ji is tricky because no one wants to make a mistake.” As for when he begins shooting his part in the Ramayana, Sunny was tight-lipped about it.
