EXCLUSIVE: Yash to start shooting for Ramayana THIS week; Marks the beginning with a visit to temple in Ujjain

In an exciting turn of events, it has been learned exclusively by TopMob that the highly anticipated film adaptation of Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is about to commence shooting this week. Yash, who is not only a co-producer for the movie but also stars in it alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Sunny Deol, and Sai Pallavi, will reportedly assume his role as Ravana in Mumbai starting from this week.

According to our sources, following the completion of “Toxic,” actor Yash is preparing to move to Mumbai for the sets of a film directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Before beginning his role in the epic “Ramayana,” he plans to visit the Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, a tradition he follows at the start of every new project. This temple visit is significant for Yash, who is affectionately known as the Rocking Star. We’ve learned that Yash will be filming his individual scenes during this schedule, and the producers have made special arrangements to welcome the popular Pan India actor.

The makers of the epic series “Ramayana” are aiming for visually breathtaking scenes with actor Yash during the initial filming sessions, starting from late April and lasting nearly a month. After that, he will move on to another project titled “Toxic”. As previously announced, this two-part production is set to premiere on Diwali in 2026 and 2027 respectively.

The movie will feature an incredible clash between actors Yash as Raavana and Ranbir Kapoor as Ram. It’s anticipated that Sunny Deol, taking on the role of Lord Hanuman, will start filming in June. Ramayana is being produced by DNEG in collaboration with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, with Yash also actively contributing to the creative aspects of bringing this epic story to life on the silver screen.

Following the monumental achievements of KGF and KGF 2, actor Yash aims to make another impact on the box office in 2026 with not one but two films – Toxic set for release in March and Ramayana in October. These upcoming projects are anticipated to be significant on a global scale, captivating audiences beyond India’s borders as well. Interestingly, Toxic is being filmed in both Kannada and English for a multi-lingual appeal. Keep an eye out here at TopMob for further updates!
