Kothari admitted that at first, it was challenging for her to return to acting after 25 years, as she had to face the camera once more.

She openly acknowledged feeling self-conscious due to the perception others might have of her as she grew older. Additionally, Neelam remained mindful of her appearance when on camera.

She admitted, “Returning and appearing in front of the camera at the start was extremely challenging for me due to memories of being on screen 25 years prior. Seeing myself then versus now made me incredibly self-conscious. My biggest worry was my appearance – would people accept me as I am, given that I’ve aged? The uncertainty about how the audience might perceive me was overwhelming.

For the unfamiliar, this actress has collaborated with well-known personalities such as Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Govinda, and Saif Ali Khan, among others.

In a deeply emotional turn during the latest season of the show, the actress shared for the first time about her marriage to U.K.-based businessman Rishi Sethia in 2000. Kothari opened up about the struggles and revealed that despite trying everything possible, she drew a line when it came to preserving her identity.
