‘Fame Is A MotherF—er.’ Shemar Moore Gets Honest About His Feelings After Reports Of His Break-Up Surface

Shemar Moore isn’t hesitant to express his thoughts openly, as he previously addressed the initial cancellation of S.W.A.T. before CBS changed their decision in 2023. Now, the actor is once again voicing his opinions following reports of his split with girlfriend Jesiree Dizon. The couple had a daughter named Frankie in 2023, and after celebrating her second birthday not long ago, Moore is candidly expressing his emotions about the alleged breakup.

The S.W.A.T. actor and Dizon had been dating for five years, and just last week, Moore appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show, where he talked about how their daughter saved his life and how he and Dizon reconnected in recent years. Early Friday, though, he took to Instagram to share a video, confirming that he and Dizon broke up. While he wasn’t happy about the press releases about the split, he knew that was the price of fame, explaining:

I’m well-versed in the inner workings of Hollywood and the media industry. It’s all about rumors and speculation, and that’s the nature of the game. Be aware of your wishes as you might get more than you bargained for. You understand the deal you’ve made, right? Fame can be a tricky beast because if I wasn’t somewhat famous, people wouldn’t pay attention to me. And to those of you who don’t care about my fame, thank you! It means less stress for me.

Moore has been transparent about his partnership with Dizon and their daughter, little Frankie. He often discusses being a father in his 50s and shares numerous heartwarming photos of her on Instagram. However, there’s more to their story. Moore admires Dizon for her exceptional motherhood towards Frankie and her other children from a past relationship. Additionally, he emphasizes that he can rely on her consistently. He underlined that they “love each other” deeply, and this affection won’t fade over time.

Moreover, the former star of Criminal Minds responded to critical remarks regarding their split, acknowledging that it wasn’t simple. He further clarified that he was also seeking “happiness,” “tranquility,” and “serenity.

Moore elaborated on their shared parenting arrangement, stating that while there might be some changes, it’s all about prioritizing the children’s wellbeing.

We’re more than just friends; we’re loving companions who enjoy each other’s company, and we plan to share the responsibilities of co-parenting Caden, Charlie, and Frankie. Whether it’s ballet lessons, soccer games, basketball matches, trips to Disneyland or water parks, we’ll do it all because our focus is solely on our children. Frankie is incredibly fortunate to have two fantastic parents – me and Jesiree. This is our life now, and we’re going to approach it a bit differently, but with the same love and dedication.

It’s clear now more than ever that Shemar Moore and Jesiree Dizon’s daughter is the center of their lives. In the past, Moore had discussed the possibility of having another child in his 50s, stating he was committed to focusing on Frankie, but leaving room for future possibilities. However, it appears that their little one fulfills all his parenting desires, and it’s heartwarming to know they maintain a friendly and cooperative co-parenting relationship, putting their daughter first and ensuring a loving environment for her.

At least during this challenging period, Moore is busy filming “S.W.A.T.” This should keep him engaged. Unfortunately, filming had to halt multiple times due to the rampant wildfires in Los Angeles. Regarding a ninth season of “S.W.A.T.”, I’m keeping my fingers crossed, as the series has managed to avoid cancellation not once but twice. So, there’s hope that 20-Squad will continue.
