This month sees the release of Fatal Fury: City of Wolves, which appears to be SNK’s best quality fighting game yet. With all the buzz about the celebrity guests in this game, fans can’t help but wonder who else will appear. While the celebrities have received mixed reactions, there are still many beloved SNK characters making a comeback for this installment.
Many have eagerly awaited COTW due to its status as an official sequel to Garou: Mark of the Wolves. It’s been more than a decade since the story of Rock Howard was first introduced, and fans are thrilled to find out where it goes next. Additionally, they’re excited to discover which other characters from this roster will accompany Rock on his adventure.
So, without further ado, here are all the confirmed playable characters for Fatal Fury: COTW.
Base Roster
At the initial release, the game will feature a roster of 17 characters, considered a suitable size for a contemporary fighting game. Although players may anticipate the 30+ characters often found in a King of Fighters installment, Fatal Fury has historically been less flashy, and this moderate-sized roster is nothing to scoff at. Of course, fan favorites like Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui are included, but there are additional characters to look forward to as well.
Here is the base roster for Fatal Fury: COTW:
- Rock Howard
- Terry Bogard
- B. Jenet
- Marco Rodrigues
- Preecha
- Hotaru Futaba
- Vox Reaper
- Tizoc
- Kevin Rian
- Billy Kane
- Mai Shiranui
- Kim Dong Hwan
- Gato
- Kain R. Heinlein
- Cristiano Ronaldo
- Salvatore Ganacci
- Hokutomaru
DLC Roster
In simple terms, for the game “City of the Wolves”, it’s been confirmed that five additional characters will join the roster, with two hailing from Capcom’s iconic Street Fighter franchise. The exciting part is that these characters will come at no extra cost as they are included in every version of the game, which also comes with the first Season Pass pre-installed. This approach to fighting games seems particularly effective.
Without further ado, here are the DLC characters coming to Fatal Fury: COTW:
- Andy Bogard (Summer 2025)
- Ken Masters (Summer 2025)
- Joe Higashi (Fall 2025)
- Chun-Li (Winter 2025)
- Mr. Big (Early 2026)
Here’s the full lineup for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves so far. Given that it’s a contemporary fighting game, there could be additional downloadable content in store if the game proves popular among fans. With the anticipation building for quite some time over this installment, and the fondness fans hold towards characters like Terry and Mai, it’s safe to say they won’t be disappointed.
have from appearing in Street Fighter 6, that seems more than likely.
