- Ferrari reveals 296 GT3 Evo at Spa for 2026 debut
- Features upgraded aero, cooling, and suspension
- Available as an upgrade kit for current 296 GT3 owners
The iconic brand Ferrari has unveiled an advanced version of its triumphant GT3 and LMGT3 models – the 296 GT3 Evo – which is scheduled to compete in the 2026 racing season. This car was recently presented at Spa-Francorchamps, following three years since the initial 296 GT3 model first appeared on the same racetrack.
Based on two years of racing data and customer input, the Evo has been enhanced to offer improved aerodynamic stability, versatile setup options, and more robust components. It continues to use a 3L twin-turbo V6 engine but features a revised gear ratio setup for smoother torque distribution. The exterior design has been updated to minimize sensitivity in turbulent airflow and boost cooling, especially for the front brakes.
An essential visual enhancement features twin hood vents and a modified rear spoiler equipped with a swift-adjust mechanism. The suspension dynamics have been revamped for better handling and to streamline pit adjustments. Additionally, the cabin now boasts an enhanced cooling system for improved driver comfort during prolonged races.
Ferrari intends to make an upgrade kit available for existing 296 GT3 owners, demonstrating the versatile design approach behind this model. This vehicle continues a platform that has garnered more than 140 victories and 405 podium finishes across 343 races. The enhanced 296 GT3 Evo is poised to boost Ferrari’s global GT racing program even more.
