‘Fight or Flight’ Trailer Finds Josh Hartnett in Action Hero Mode

As a long-time fan of Josh Hartnett’s diverse acting career, I must say that his latest role in “Fight or Flight” has truly solidified him as one of my favorite action heroes of this generation. Having followed his journey since the early 2000s, it is fascinating to see how he has evolved and embraced new challenges in his career.

After taking a well-deserved break from Hollywood to reflect on his path, Hartnett’s return to the big screen has been nothing short of impressive. From delivering a memorable performance in Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-winning “Oppenheimer” to leading the action-packed “Fight or Flight,” it is clear that Hartnett is back with a vengeance.

In “Fight or Flight,” Hartnett demonstrates an unmatched dedication to his craft, as he not only stars but also performs many of his own stunts at the age of 46. As someone who has always appreciated Hartnett’s versatility as an actor, I can’t help but be in awe of his determination to push himself to new physical limits for this role.

The film’s premise, which finds Hartnett’s character trapped on a plane with other assassins, brings to mind Brad Pitt’s 2022 action outing “Bullet Train.” While I can’t help but chuckle at the playful nod to the title, I eagerly anticipate seeing how Hartnett’s twist on the concept unfolds.

All in all, it seems that Josh Hartnett is well on his way to carving out a new legacy as an action movie superstar. With “Fight or Flight” set to hit theaters later this year, I can hardly wait to see what other incredible feats he will conquer next!

30 Days of Night and Oppenheimer’s star, transforms into our new preferred action protagonist in the initial trailer for this year’s highly anticipated movie, Fight or Flight. Changing his usual dark hair to a blonde style and exhibiting abilities that would make Liam Neeson green with envy, Hartnett steps into the spotlight as an assassin entrusted with safeguarding a target. The mission should have been straightforward, but he didn’t anticipate being stranded on a plane alongside other assassins who are ordered to kill them. It seems that Hartnett enjoys finding himself in insurmountable predicaments these days. You can watch the thrilling trailer for Fight or Flight below.

In the movie titled “Fight or Flight,” directed by James Madigan, who previously worked on “Runaways,” we see Ciaran Hindrott taking on multiple recognizable actors in a new take on Brad Pitt’s 2022 action film, “Bullet Train.” If you prefer, think of it as “Bullet Plane.” Charithra Chandran from “Bridgerton” plays the secretive goal that Hindrott’s assassin is meant to safeguard. Julian Kostov, known for “Shadow and Bone,” Katee Sackhoff from “Battlestar Galactica,” and Marko Zaror of “John Wick: Chapter 4” are the diverse group of killers who try to add tension to Hindrott’s intriguing mercenary character.

Hartnett’s decision to step away from Hollywood for fifteen months appears to have been another smart move on his part. After experiencing a meteoric rise in the early 2000s, he found himself grappling with the challenges of fame and uncertainty about his long-term career goals. Now, Hartnett is back with a vengeance, delivering an outstanding supporting role in Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-winning film “Oppenheimer” and taking the lead as a serial killer in an impossible situation in M. Night Shyamalan’s “Trap.” It seems that “Fight or Flight” could establish Hartnett as a future action movie star, setting the stage for a potential new legacy.

Josh Hartnett Is Committed to the Action in ‘Fight or Flight’

In contrast to his extensive Hollywood career spanning various film genres including comedy, drama, and horror, Josh Hartnett claims that the role in “Fight or Flight” stands out as one of his most difficult to date. Though he’s had experience with action movies, appearing alongside Jason Statham in “Wrath of Man” and “Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre,” as well as Bruce Willis in “Lucky Number Slevin,” Hartnett admitted that the genre has grown more challenging for him due to his age, particularly when performing his own stunts.

As a seasoned actor with over four decades of experience under my belt, I’ve had the opportunity to take on some truly incredible roles and push myself to my limits. One such project that stands out is my latest film, Fight or Flight. At 46 years old, I chose to perform all my own stunts for this action-packed thriller, a decision that proved to be both exhilarating and challenging.

When I was in my twenties, the recovery time after strenuous physical scenes was a breeze. But now, at nearly fifty, I’ve found that my body doesn’t bounce back as quickly as it once did. The longest shot in Fight or Flight required me to engage in hand-to-hand combat with an overwhelming number of adversaries on board a plane, all while making use of various items within the confined space for defense. It was without a doubt the most grueling physical test I’ve ever faced in my career.

The adrenaline and excitement were undeniable during filming, but the toll it took on my body was significant. It served as a stark reminder that age is indeed just a number, but one must adapt and adjust accordingly when tackling demanding roles like this one. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything, as it pushed me to grow both personally and professionally.
