As a long-time fan who’s been following Finneas’ journey since his debut album, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and nostalgia with the announcement of his upcoming project, “For Cryin’ Out Loud!” The fact that he’s embracing collaboration this time around is just the icing on the cake.
Finneas is about to unveil the sequel to his first album titled “Optimist”. This upcoming work is named “For Cryin’ Out Loud!” and is scheduled for a launch on October 4th.
In “For Cryin’ Out Loud!”, Optimist broadens his creative horizons by collaborating with other musicians during recording sessions. Despite this, the album remains self-produced as Finneas continues to compose and perform the instrumentals himself, now backed by a full band.
As a die-hard fan, I had the incredible opportunity to witness Finneas crafting his entire album right here in sunny Los Angeles. Over a string of dynamic live studio sessions, he collaborated closely with some of his dearest friends, turning each session into a truly special experience for all involved.
As a music producer with several years of experience under my belt, I have had the privilege of working with some incredible artists and contributing to their success. Earlier this year, I found myself at the helm of production for my sister Billie Eilish’s groundbreaking third album, “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT.” It was an unforgettable experience, not just because of the immense talent my sister possesses, but also due to the collaborative process and the unique creative energy that surrounded the project.
In tandem with announcing the new album, Finneas has shared its title track.
Finneas’ For Cryin’ Out Loud! is out in full on October 4. Stream the lead single everywhere now.
