The simmering tension between Bode, Gabriela, and Diego has been building since the beginning of time (or at least since the start of Season 2), and it’s finally time to let those emotions ignite like a wildfire!

Remember when their wedding was abruptly halted due to a helicopter crash as Gabriela blurted out “I do”? Well, her fiancé acknowledged the elephant in the room and confronted both Gabriela and Bode regarding their feelings. This has left us on edge as we move forward into Season 3, which the showrunner hints will only become more complicated or messy.
Before the debut of Fire Country’s Season 3, I had a chat with Max Thieriot and Stephanie Arcila, who play Bode and Gabriela respectively, about Diego’s confrontation with them. Additionally, I posed this question to showrunner Tia Napolitano, focusing on the repercussions of this event for the rest of the season. She hinted that this tense situation will only lead to more complications, stating it would make things “even messier.
As things continue to become more complicated, there’s a sense of anticipation that’s hard to resist. It’s like watching a love triangle unfold on television – you can feel the tension building, knowing it won’t be long before everything comes crashing together…before the explosion occurs. And so, we’re gearing up to deliver exactly that – the dramatic confrontations and emotional turmoil. We’ve been saving this for a while now, allowing the emotions to brew under the surface for numerous episodes, and now it’s time to bring it all out into the open.
At long last, we’re about to tackle everything that’s been brewing between Bode, Gabriela, and Diego! Arcila’s character has been wrestling with her complex emotions towards the two men throughout Season 2. In fact, at the campaign event, she shared a kiss with Thieriot’s character. Yet, despite this, she was still determined to go through with the wedding, and surprisingly, Bode didn’t interrupt the ceremony.
When she chose not to say “I do” and abruptly ended our wedding, I, Diego, couldn’t help but confront her and Bode. I expressed my feelings, stating that I believed she had moved on, and I’d made peace with her ex being part of her past. However, I was blindsided by the sudden resurfacing of those emotions during our wedding itself, feeling betrayed and taken aback.
Now, the circumstances are in place for the consequences of these occurrences to unfold, and as Napolitano hinted, things are going to clash, create a spectacle, and the tension that’s been building up for several episodes will reach its peak.
Not only did the showrunner share insights with me, but she also hinted that the dynamic between Bode and Gabriela in Season 3 will escalate to a “heightened level of intrigue and tension.” So, buckle up, folks, as this pairing promises to ignite some passionate sparks – let’s just hope they don’t spark anything too explosive!
