As a devoted fan who’s survived countless post-apocalyptic winters and lived through the infamous Battle of the Bastards, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and trepidation as I witness the first glimpses of The Last of Us Season 2. With Pedro Pascal’s grizzled Joel and Bella Ramsey’s resilient Ellie at its core, this series has always had a special place in my heart (and nightmares).
The first piece of footage from the highly-anticipated second season of The Last of Us is here.
In the fresh segment showcasing Max, a sneak peek of upcoming HBO and Max Originals was included, set to premiere by the end of this year and in 2025. The video hinted at the introduction of new characters such as Catherine O’Hara, Kaitlyn Dever playing Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Danny Ramirez as Manny, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac. However, it also displayed Pedro Pascal’s character Joel informing O’Hara’s character that he saved Bella Ramsey’s Ellie instead of causing her harm.
Apart from showcasing exclusive clips from “The Last of Us”, the event also featured previously unseen content from the upcoming “Game of Thrones” spinoff titled “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”. Additionally, it included sneak peeks for “IT: Welcome to Derry”, “Dune: Prophecy”, “The Penguin”, and fresh seasons of popular series such as “The White Lotus”, “My Brilliant Friend”, “Industry” and others.
